The West Ham United Independent Supporters Association (WHUISA) attended a meeting with Karen Brady, Ben Illingworth and Tara Warren representing West Ham United (WHUFC) as part of a meeting convened between WHUFC and West Ham Groups United (WHGU). This meeting was the subject of the WHUFC.com press release from Thursday 15th February (https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2018/february/15-february/west-ham-united-statement-dialogue-supporter-groups).
WHUISA was represented by Chair, Mark Walker and Vice-Chair, Paul Turner. The meeting lasted roughly 5 hours and at times, discussions were frank about a number of topics ranging from fan experience at the London Stadium, financial running of the football club, the current club crest, heritage, stewarding & security and levels of mistrust in the current ownership of WHUFC.
Karen Brady and Tara Warren pledged to take away points that would be discussed at board level and a response was pledged to some of the issues that were raised by Friday of this week (23/02/2018).
WHUISA would like to thank Real West Ham Fans Action Group (RWHFAG) and WHGU for the invite to this meeting and hope to continue to work together with RWHFAG and WHGU to ensure the protest planned for 10th March is a success.
