Poor effort … stones obscured by stall

Poor effort … stones obscured by stall

Following our recent piece on the Champions Stones WHUISA engaged in a little post-match browsing of the are outside Entrance J earlier today.
The following are the observations we made in solely that area:
1. A stall immediately adjacent to bricks obscuring stones with portable bollards (image above). While queues were forming it would be impossible for supporters to search bricks in that area. There was ample space for the stall to be placed in an area without stones and is in clear breach of club promises.
2. New bricks had been laid. They looked very good.

3. However, the nearby bricks looked shabby in contrast. They are still dirty, lack legibility and although they may have been washed (to be honest it is hard to tell) badly need repairing and grouting.

4. On the postive front we noticed bins had been placed so as not to obscure fans’ momentos.

Further to this story club Supporter Liaison Officer Jake Heath has responded to our emails promptly and advised that whereas the first phase at Champions Place was catalogued by an undisclosed “partner”, all enquiries as to location should now be directed to supporterservices@westhamunited.co.uk.

We were also advised there are plans to provide a full map online “in the near future”.
